Empty your Inbox

Instead of “How are you doing?”, a much more relevant question nowadays would be, “How’s your inbox?”
My inbox is a measly 1754 messages (none unread), but what about those of us who have 3000, 4000 or 5000+ e-mails in our inboxes? If that’s the case with your inbox, check out this series of articles by Merlin Mann over at 43 Folders which looks at the “skills, tools, and attitude needed to empty your email inbox — and then keep it that way”.
My tip, that has worked well this past six months, is to turn off the automatic fetching mail every ten minutes and I only check mail when I am ready to respond. My Inbox = 20 emails just now but I strive for an empty box.
